Procedure
Once an application form has been received (and it has been completed in full), Easy Check will send out the reference requests to all of the relevant parties.
When we have received all of the references in writing, and a full credit check has been completed, a final report will be issued.
Our aim is to issue a final report within 48 hours of receiving the request. This is obviously dependent on receiving a response from all parties involved. At all times it is Easy Check's aim to produce a valid, reliable report as soon as possible.

What does it entail?

Employment reference
Detailed information is required on the prospective tenant's employment status. This allows us an insight of their financial stability. Can the tenant afford the monthly rental payments? As we are sure that you will agree this is a key piece of information, and essential in completing a reference successfully.

Length of the contract of employment is also vital in ensuring that the applicant is actively employed  for the duration of the tenancy agreement.

If self-employed we will require bank statements and accounts as proof of income.

Managing agent/landlord reference
A written reference from a previous landlord or managing agent (a minimum of 6 months history is required). This provides not only an indication of the applicant's rental account, but also of their behaviour as a tenant.

Credit history check
A completed credit check will be carried out, including a search of previous addresses and also if they have a history of County Court Judgements and bankruptcy.
